Aurora Minerals Group took part in the 90th Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada convention - PDAC2022.

This year, in the period from June 13-15, PDAC returned to Toronto in the traditional in person regime. The exhibition was visited by more than 17,000 people from all over the world, including investors, scientists and technical specialists, heads of large mining and exploration companies, government officials.  

Aurora Minerals Group was represented at the exhibition by two pavilions of promising Kazakhstani exploration projects. In addition to highlighting the investment attractiveness of our country's mineral resources industry, Aurora placed special emphasis on the exchange of international experience with leading service companies and developers of technological know-how in the field of geological exploration. Our company has offered insight for foreign representatives of the industry into the positive dynamics of mineral exploration in the country, as well as the peculiarities of entering the Kazakh market.

As part of PDAC 2022, Aurora held a number of important meetings with companies such as Barrick, BHP, K92 Mining Inc., etc., where discussion topics were prospects for cooperation in such areas as the attraction of investments into mineral exploration, development of joint exploration projects, technology transfer, the creation of modern production bases, interpretation using machine learning algorithms for the mineral exploration purposes.    

Another significant event during the convention was the signing of an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture in Kazakhstan between the world's largest airborne geophysics company Xcalibur Multiphysics and Aurora Minerals Group. The joint venture will be registered in the AIFC, and will fully localize the airborne geophysics using the latest technologies such as AGG Falcon, MIDAS, HeliTEM, Tempest, etc. Kazakhstani specialists will be trained in modern geophysical technologies and data processing methods, which in turn will allow to take this type of service to a new level in our country.

The key priority areas of the joint venture’s development will be the implementation of regional airborne geophysics on the territory of Kazakhstan, followed by the provision of high-quality and modern datasets for mapping, interpretation and selection of promising areas for mineral exploration.  

Also, within the framework of the PDAC International Stage, a presentation session dedicated to the leading mining jurisdictions, Aurora is hosting the already traditional event the Kazakhstan Day 2022. The Kazakhstan Day event highlights the prospects of the Kazakhstan mineral resources market, new opportunities for interested investors and businesses, innovations in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the success of the introduction of innovative technologies in the exploration of Kazakhstan, as well as the specifics of entering the Kazakhstan market.

The speakers at the Kazakhstan Day 2022 online session will be Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Ruslan Baimishev, Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan Alan Hamson, CEO of East Star Resources Alex Walker, CEO of Arras Minerals Corp. Timothy Barry, Sales and Marketing manager of Xcalibur Multiphysics Craig Annison, also founders of Aurora Minerals Group Kaisar Kozhamuratov and Said Sultanov.

The Kazakhstan Day 2022 will be held online on June 28 at 19:15 Toronto time.
