The Company Aurora AG Limited continues to perform complex geophysical surveys for various customers in Kazakhstan. The main criteria for the performance of work are efficiency, quality and safety.

In accordance with the quality requirements Aurora completed the field stage of complex geophysical survey at the Zholymbet site in the Akmola region for JSC AK Altynalmas. Within the framework of the project, the following types of work were performed: high-precision magnetic survey, electrical survey using the induced polarization (IP) method. Detailed magnetic survey was carried out using modern, high-precision GSM-19W magnetometers based on the Overhauser effect (GEM Systems , Canada).

Aurora carried out 2D induced polarization survey using its own developed and patented array configuration. The method of electrical resistivity tomography has proved itself well for the exploration of lode and stockwork type deposits. The use of a conveyor layout of receiving array ensures high acquisition rates. Aurora utilizes pole-dipole symmetrical array (combining forward and reverse acquisition) which reduces the risk of recording false anomalies and the influence of low-resistance screens, allowing the registration of electrical boundaries on both sides.

Aurora AG Limited continues to perform ground electrical exploration in the East Kazakhstan region for the Yildirim Group.

To perform electrical exploration using the IP method Aurora uses an instrumentation complex manufactured by GDD Instrumentation (Canada). Geophysical survey is accompanied by high-precision satellite referencing with modern topographic and geodetic equipment Trimble R12.

The Aurora AG Ltd adheres to safe work practices when conducting exploration activities. As part of the improvement of process management policies, HSE advisors conduct continuous work and supervision with the team, and all personnel receive regular training in the following disciplines:

         - Fire Safety Basics;

         - Electric safety;

         - Occupational health and safety;

         - Provision of first aid.
