Our geophysical company, Aurora AG Limited, together with their exclusive airborne geophysics partner Xcalibur Multiphysics commenced the helicopter electromagnetic survey in Rudny Altai of East Kazakhstan region for East Star Resources PLC. To implement the project Aurora and Xcalibur use the latest low-frequency, deep-penetrating HeliTEM system, which proved itself to be one of the most advanced and efficient airborne time-domain EM systems in the world.

HeliTEM system is used all over the globe to provide high-resolution Earth conductivity imaging with maximum exploration depth and enhanced sensitivity to conductive targets. HeliTEM uniquely acquires at Tx frequencies as low as 6.25Hz, using a high-power square wave form for enhanced resolution, a wide Tx pulse width for greater target energization, and long Tx off times for imaging deep and conductive targets. The target response is stronger, the noise levels are lower, and the depth of exploration is greater, especially in the more conductive geology.

Alex Walker, East Star Resources CEO, commented:

"HEM surveying is highly effective in direct detection of conductive sulfide deposits in which large conductivity contrasts exist between the orebodies and host rocks. It is the same style survey that was used to discover Havieron, the Greatland Gold and Newcrest gold-copper discovery in Western Australia. To the best of our knowledge East Star is the first company ever to use this geophysical technology on the Rudny Altai VMS region and so we're very excited to begin work on this prolific but under explored area.”

Kemal Amanbayev, CEO of Aurora AG Limited commented:

«We are excited to start our cooperation with Xcalibur by implementing such an ambitious and high potential survey for East Star Resources, which is being done in one of the most promising and undervalued areas for mineral exploration – Rudny Altai. We hope our client will achieve their targets in this area, which in turn will foster the mining and mineral exploration activity in the region. For our part, we will bring all our expertise to ensure the survey is completed in the safest and most efficient manner possible. »

To efficiently and safely fly airborne EM survey in Altay mountains Aurora uses high-performance Airbus AS350 B3e helicopter, which has been the undisputed leader in its class for the past 30 years.
